People are ready to pack their bags and hit the road after a year with little to no jetsetting.

But travel today is not the same as it was pre-pandemic.
Our team shares intel and tips about what to expect with travel in 2021 and beyond below.
Before Your Trip
Don’t wait until the last minute to book. So many travelers are chomping at the bit to get back on the road, and destinations like National Parks, the Caribbean, Mexico, and Hawaii are booking up fast.
From the beginning, make sure you understand the cancellation terms.
Make dining reservations early, especially for weekends and peak travel times.
Make sure you understand the travel protocols for each country, and if a COVID-19 test is required, make sure you take the correct one.
Print out every document you need related to entry regulations – like COVID-19 test results or vaccination information – and have them easily accessible (not in your checked luggage!).
Be flexible. Flights can change, what is open in the destination can change, and more.
During Your Trip
Don’t compare your past experiences to your current ones. The hotel you loved years ago may not be the same as it is now. And that’s okay – different doesn’t always mean bad.
It may be emotional. Some travelers are overjoyed to visit destinations they would have never considered before; others are frustrated at restrictions and protocols. Have an open mind and be prepared to feel a way that may surprise you.

Appreciate the gift of service. Be grateful that someone else is making your bed, pouring your cocktail, preparing your dinner, and guiding your trip. Thank everyone you meet for still being here to take care of us as we travel and experience this wonderful new world.
Be comfortable with uncertainty, and be patient and understanding that the world is adapting to constant change.
